MOUNTAIN PLAYHOUSE BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPOINTS ARGENBRIGHT TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

JENNERSTOWN – The Mountain Playhouse, a professional summer stock theater and nonprofit organization, announces the addition of Laura Argenbright to its Board of Directors.

Argenbright served as the Mountain Playhouse marketing director from May 2013 until December 2015, when she was appointed the first executive director. On January 3, 2017, she assumed the leadership role of executive director of the Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center in Cambria City, Johnstown, PA.

“For many years, Laura has been key to the positive movement and stabilization that the Mountain Playhouse has been undergoing,” Board of Directors Chairman Rev. Dr. Joseph Beer said. “We are pleased that she will remain with us in a leadership capacity and continue to use her knowledge and skills as the organization enters its 78th continuous season.”

Prior to the Mountain Playhouse, Argenbright was employed as marketing director at Hidden Valley Resort and was founding director of the Frank Lloyd Wright Duncan House at Polymath Park in Acme. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Argenbright is a member of the board of directors of the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau, as well as chairman of its marketing committee; she is also an active member of the Arts Coalition of the Alleghenies and several other civic organizations.

Argenbright will join current board members: Rev. Dr. Joseph Beer, W. Jeffrey Carey, Judy Crookston, Barbara Frankel, Marcene Glover, Joseph Domencic and Michele Beener.
